Ms. Oliver-Zhang is the Managing Partner and founder of Oliver-Zhang Law.  Oliver-Zhang Law was built upon the drive to remedy injustice and help those in need.  This is the mission of our legal team.  From personal injury to immigration, listening to what is important to our clients is critical for achieving success and giving trusted advice.  We actively share our legal knowledge with our clients to empower them about their own case as we fight for their best interest.  Ms. Oliver-Zhang’s compassionate approach to injured victims and their families puts the practice of law in the human context.

Oliver-Zhang Law has developed an insightful China practice focused on helping businesses and other legal teams concerned with the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA).  We have developed relationships with local counsel in Shanghai who are able to assist with internal investigations designed to discover the scope of potential government bribery and achieve compliance with the law.  Breaking through the Chinese language barrier, Ms. Oliver-Zhang can counsel and assist in interviews with the key players, craft the right key terms that narrow your investigation, and perform targeted document reviews with experienced Chinese attorneys.  We will help you determine your best course of action under the law with efficiency.

Committed to pro bono service, Ms. Oliver-Zhang has successfully represented clients in asylum, immigration, child custody, and domestic violence cases.

As a native Chinese speaker, she has a special interest in representing those without legal access due to language barriers in the community.

Ms. Oliver-Zhang earned her Juris Doctorate degree from The George Washington University Law School.  She is a licensed member of the District of Columbia and Maryland Bar.  She is a proud member of the National LGBT Bar Association.

Representative Cases

  •  Fecho, et al.  v. Eli Lilly & Co., et al., 1:11-cv-10152-MBB (D. Mass. 2011): Drug product liability case against fourteen major pharmaceutical companies on behalf of over eighty DES daughter plaintiffs.
  • Ren v. Cao, 1:15-cv-01242 (D. Md. 2015) : Complex fraud and RICO matter.
  • Chen, et al. v. East Dumpling House, (D. Md. 2015): Restaurant underpaid overtime wages to our client, the chef.  Wages were recovered and attorney’s fees were paid by the defendant.
  • Sanderson Farms v. Tyson Foods, No. RDB-08-210 (D. Md. 2008): False advertising regarding “antibiotics free” premium chicken enjoined.
  • Clayton v. Eli Lilly & Co., 04-1363(RMU/AK) (D.D.C. 2006): Drug product liability case where we prevailed in identifying the drug manufacturer for a pill taken over forty years ago by our client’s mother, which caused the daughter’s DES-infertility.
